Another season of Dana White's Contender Series is in the books and what a season it was!
Season 6 set a new record in terms of the number of contracts awarded, with 44 fighters called up to the Octagon, led by three-time Division I National Champion Bo Nickal, who claimed a comfortable win in Week 3 and returned for his graduation on Tuesday night. to achieve a similar result against Donovan Beard this season.
In addition to the highly regarded middleweight contender, UFC President Dana White also awarded contracts to bantamweight Mateus Mendonca, flyweight Rafael Estevam, featherweight Jack Jenkins and lightweight Sam Patterson, making it another night where all five winners secured a place in the UFC.
That's seven of the 10 events this season where each winner has impressed the UFC boss enough to give him the chance to compete on the sport's biggest stage.
Here's how it ended.

Dana White wanted to take another look at Bo Nickal; He had less than 60 seconds and that was more than enough.
The former Penn State star almost immediately dropped Donovan Beard with an overhand left and followed him to the canvas, where he climbed the mountain in search of a guillotine. When it didn't, he switched to a triangular choke and jammed the hammer.
Nickal is the best contender for the UFC in many years and it will be interesting to see how quickly he can climb the middleweight ranks.
Sam Patterson defeated Vinicius Cenci by submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:18 of round 2

Sam Patterson endured a tough first round, but the British lightweight's superior fitness served him well, resulting in a second-round victory for the Watford man.
Vinicius Cenci was aggressive in the first round, working his way through Patterson's range and staggering the British fighter at one point in the opening stanza. But you could see Cenci fading late in the first game, while Patterson stayed fresh, and after finding his reach on the feet, the team's crossface fighter dominated the canvas and found a stranglehold.
After chasing down a D'arce and a powerful guillotine, Patterson finally found its way to Cenci's back, hoisted his arm under his chin and secured the crane. Great win for the veteran lightweight who extends his win streak to six and his undefeated streak to ten fights in total.
Jack Jenkins defeated Emiliano Linares by TKO (punches) at 4:30 in round 3

The difference in confidence and IQ between Jack Jenkins and Emiliano Linares was obvious from the start and only got more obvious as the fight went on. Linares stayed strong throughout, but Jenkins was the superior fighter throughout and took a comfortable decision win.
Jenkins managed an easy takedown in the first round when Linares went too far and led and dominated the action for most of the round. After a tricky opening round finish, he worked Linares' body early in the second before effortlessly forcing him back onto the canvas. From there, Jenkins pushed open the Ecuadorian featherweight and painted the canvas with his blood.
Linares started the third hungry, taking advantage of an extra break when Jenkins' protective grenade came loose and needed repair, but the Aussie wisely swung it back to the ground and resumed the attack on the cut, eventually securing that late target for the last round.
It was a gutsy performance from Linares, but overall a one-sided performance for Jenkins, who edged to 10-2 with the win and should end up in the UFC in the not-too-distant future.
Rafael Estevam defeated Joao Elias by technical knockout (punches) at 2:25 of round 2

Undeterred by Joao Elias' tendency to end fights on the ground, Rafael Estevam spent the first few minutes of the game navigating submission attempts before becoming dominant from the top position.
Elias was on the hunt early in the fight, but while Estevam continued to defend and fight well, you saw Elias slowly disappear. From there, Estevam ramped up the offensive power, parried home punches and unresponsive elbows, and finished the first frame in complete control. It was a similar story in the second round, when undefeated flyweight Elias got back on deck, climbed to the top and kept pounding until Jason Herzog finally stepped in.
An absolutely dominant performance from the Nova Unit product, who moved to 11-0 after the win, while Elias fell back to 17-4 after the setback.
Mateus Mendonca def. Ashiek Ajim by KO (Left Hand).0:48the round 1

It took Mateus Mendonca less than a minute to bring his record to 10-0!
The Brazilian bantamweight hit Ajim in the middle of the cage, where the two traded long distance kicks to start. After landing a right hand behind the ear that knocked Ajim off balance, Mendonca followed with his left hand to the jaw knocking out the Long Island MMA rep.
Just a great start to the evening and a great performance from the interested party from Chute Boxe Diego Lima camp.
